About Us

The Rancho Ventura Conservation Story

Rancho Ventura Conservation Trust is a not for profit 501(c) 3 entity dedicated to permanently conserving the working landscapes located in the foothills above the City of Ventura. Our mission is to protect the natural diversity, cultural resources, scenic open space, and agricultural vitality of our Ventura County ranch and coastal areas.

Preserving A Natural Legacy

Development pressure in the Ventura Foothills has reached a critical point due to housing shortages in the area. The 700+ acres managed by Rancho Ventura Conservation Trust represent some of the last undeveloped, coastal view land of its size in Ventura County. This not only underscores the importance of the Trust's work but also the urgency in protecting these precious landscapes for future generations.
